161 SW for Deep Impact

Salacia (5 m ex Salomina by Lomitas) provided Deep Impact (Sunday Silence) with his 161st individual stakes winner when taking out the Fuchu Himba Stakes (Gr 2, 1800m) at Tokyo

yesterday. The Manabu Ikezoe-trained mare impressively defeated Shadow Diva (Heart's Cry) by three lengths, with Something Just (Victoire Pisa) a further one and a quarter lengths behind in third. Novara Park's Staphanos is the only son of Deep Impact at stud in New Zealand.
