Dominance in a pedigree

In the 2017 NZB Premier and Select Catalogue Sire References, Jakkalberry was the only sire of eighteen first season sires with one dam on the page.

One of those racehorses on that page and under the first dam is Circus Couture who is out of Jakkalberry’s half-sister Bois Joli.

Circus Couture was the Champion 3YO in Italy in 2015. His race form is exceptional.

On Sunday 29 May at San Siro Milano racecourse Circus Couture proved too good for his rivals when he won the Premio Carlo Vittadini (Gr3, 1600m)

In total Circus Couture has had twenty lifetime starts. Three of those races have been in condition races and he has won them all. The remaining seventeen races have been in Group (Group One, Group Two,Group Three) and Listed races. Of those seventeen races Circus Couture has won, or placed second or third in an incredible sixteen of them.
