Jakkalberry the champion racehorse with the champion pedigree

With Jakkalberry first progeny foaled having his balance and athletic mould, one only need to look at his constantly ever changing prepotent pedigree to see that he is destined to make an impact on the New Zealand racing scene.

On Friday 11 September at Doncaster in the United Kingdom it was Pallasator a close relation of Jakkalberry taking out the Group Two Doncaster Cup. Sir Mark Prescott’s talented galloper is a late nomination for the Caulfield Cup and  it remains to be seen whether he makes the trip down under or whether he tackles the Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup at Ascot (October 17) on a showpiece card sponsored by his owner Sheikh Fahad.

On Sunday 13 September at Rome Italy in the Listed Premio Repubbliche Marinare for two year olds over 1500m was taken out by Cassina De Pomm. This close relation of Jakkalberry showed outstanding speed, determination and greeness on to her unbeaten record to win easily by three lengths and classic glory will definitely be on the cards for her future.

Also at Rome the outstanding season for three year old Circus Couture shows no sign of ending in making his comeback after a brief spell. Under top weight Circus Couture toyed with his opposition to go away and win the 1500m Handicap race by five lengths.

Circus Couture has now won five of his seven career starts which include the Group Three Milan Premio Del Giubileo and the Listed Rome Premio Mauro Sbarigia . He also has two second placing’s at Group Two Milan Premio Carlo Vittadini and at the Listed Premio Emanuele Filiberto .

Circus Couture is out of Jakkalberry’s half- sister Bois Joli.
