So Many Shot In Line For Italian Oaks Bid

SO Many Shots staked her claim for Italian Oaks glory with an easy victory in the Listed Premio Baggio in Milan on Sunday.

The Duke Of Marmalade filly is a close relation to the dam of Jakkalberry, Claba Di San Jore. She is out of Claba Di San Jore’s half-sister Cand Di San Jore.

So Many Shots won the 2000m contest by four lengths under a confident Cristian Demuro.

Her trainer, Stefano Botti, is looking forward to running her in the Italian Oaks, he said: “She is a strong filly and I don’t think the extra furlong will be a concern. Today she ran well despite the heavy ground being against her She deserves to take her chance in the Oaks.”

Claba Di San Jore (Barathea) was bought by Watership Down Stud for 575,000gns at Tattersalls in 2012. She has produced three Group 1 winners to date in Jakkalberry, Crackerjack King ,Awelmarduk and also champion three year old Kidnapping.
