The NZ$8.2m Group One Japan Cup was run yesterday at Tokyo racecourse in Japan and the result was full evidence of the dominance of the late sire Sunday Silence.

The winner Suave Richard is by Heart's Cry, a son of Sunday Silence. Heart's Cry is also the sire of 2019 Cox Plate winner Lys Gracieux.

2nd,3rd and 4th - Curren Bouquetd'or ,Wagnerian, Makahiki are all by Deep Impact, a son of Sunday Silence.

5th -You Can Smile by King Kamehameha out of a mare by Dance in the Dark, a son of Sunday Silence.

6th - Daiwa Cagney by King Kamekameha out of a mare by Sunday Silence.

7th- Etario by Stay Gold, a son of Sunday Silence.

8th - Muito Obrigado by King Kamekameha out of a mare by Sunday Silence.

9th -Cheval Grand by Heart's Cry, a son of Sunday Silence.

10th- Look Twice by Stay Gold, a son of Sunday Silence.

11th- Rey De Oro by King Kamehameha, 3rd dam is the dam of Deep Impact.

12th- Win Tenderness second dam by Sunday Silence.

13th- Jinambo by Deep Impact, a son of Sunday Silence.

14th- Danburite by Rulership a son of King Kamehameha. Rulership is also the sire of 2019 Caulfield Cup winner Mer De Glace. Dam by Sunday Silence.

15th- Taisei Trail by Heart's Cry, a son of Sunday Silence.
