Deep Impact (Sunday Silence), who died earlier in the week, sired his 136th stakes winner when the Jane Chapple-Hyamtrained Love So Deep (3 f ex Soinlovewithyou by Sadler's Wells) won the Chalice Stakes (Listed, 1m4f) at Newmarket yesterday. Last seen running fourth in the Aphrodite Fillies' Stakes (Listed, 1m4f), the three-year-old filly drew clear in the final stages to beat Bella Vita by a length, with the same distance back to Shambolic in third.
