145 SW for Deep Impact

Satono Garnet (4 f ex Beatrix Kiddo by Victory Note) came out on top in a tight finish to the Chunichi Shimbun Hai (Gr 3, 1m2f ) at Chukyo yesterday to give her sire Deep Impact (Sunday Silence) his 145th individual stakes winner. The Yoshito Yahagi-trained four-year-old, who was sent off a 13-1 chance as she dropped back in grade, finished a head in front of the runner-up Last Draft (Novellist), with the third home Ice Storm (Storming Hom), a neck further back.
