148 for Deep Impact

Champion sire Deep Impact- the sire of Novara Park’s Staphanos landed his 148th stakes winner yesterday as the Yoshiyasu Takahashi-trained Smile Kana (3 f ex A Shin Cool D by Distorted Humor) landed the Fairy Stakes (Gr 3, 1600m) at Nakayama. The filly defeated Chain Of Love (Heart’s Cry) by two and a half lengths with Pollentia (Heart’s Cry) a further length and a quarter back in third.
