Sentimental Mambo (4 f ex Stacelita by Monsun) provided the late Deep Impact (Sunday Silence) with a 188th individual stakes winner when coming home a cosy winner of the Grosser Preis Der Hannoverschen Volksbank (Listed, 1600m) at Hannover on Sunday. Trained by Satoshi Kobayashi, the four-year-old filly came home an eased down three-quarter length victor over Libre with a further two lengths back to Ma Belle Molly in third. The fifth foal out of the multiple Group 1-winning Monsun (Konigsstuhl) mare Stacelita, Sentimental Mambo is a sister to Group 3 winner Schon Glanz and winner Spangled Star as well as a half-sister to Group 1 winner Soul Stirring. Novara Park's Staphanos was the Leading New Zealand First Season Sire at Karaka 2022.
