88 for Lonhro

Lonhro sired his 88th stakes winner yesterday when the James Cummings-trained Haunted (5 g ex Seances by Canny Lad) won the Village Stakes (Listed, 1200m) at Caulfield. The five-year-old gelding beat Parsifal by half a length with another quarter of a length back to Inn Keeper in third. Lonhro stands at Darley’s Kelvinside base in the Hunter Valley for a fee of $77,000. Sweynesse is the only son of Champion racehorse and sire Lonhro at stud in New Zealand.
