Deep Impact trifecta in Group 3 Nisai Stakes

The NZ$900,000 TOKYO SPORTS HAI NISAI STAKES (GROUP 3) at Tokyo racecourse Japan on Saturday became a Deep Impact show with first, second and third placings to sons of Champion sire Deep Impact.

1st Contrail(JPN) by Deep Impact-Rhododendron
2nd Al Jannah(JPN) by Deep Impact- Condo Commando
3rd Rhinebeck(JPN) by Deep Impact- Apapane

Contrail became the 144th Stakes winner for Deep Impact.

Deep Impact looks set to yet again become Champion sire in Japan for 2019 after becoming Champion in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018.

The Japanese racing seasons start 1 January and ends 31 December. Deep Impact's current progeny earnings in Japan alone current sit at $96,597,516.

Deep Impact progeny lifetime earnings currently sits at NZ$720m.
